Founders and Trustees
The founders and trustees of the Inflammation Research Foundation are Dr. Barry Sears and his wife, Lynn Sears. They rely on the input of the Board of Directors to help guide to the Foundation toward its ultimate mission of changing health care on a world-wide basis by focusing on the impact of diet on inflammation. Board of Directors Cindy Crawford Cindy Crawford is one of the most successful models of all time and has been a spokesperson for various companies and charitable organizations, including the University of Wisconsin's Children’s Hospital and Comprehensive Cancer Center. She also serves as a board member for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Allan Ettinger Mr. Allan R. Ettinger is a Senior Vice President and Senior Institutional Consultant with Smith Barney. Dr. Ted Mitchell Ted Mitchell is the president of Occidental College which is considered one of the finest liberal arts colleges in the country. Prior to becoming president at Occidental College, Ted was the vice president for education and strategic initiatives for the J. Paul Getty Trust and the former dean of the Graduate School of Education at UCLA. He is the former deputy to the president at Stanford University and the vice chancellor at UCLA. Dr. Mitchell is a national leader in the effort to provide high-quality education for all students. Judith ReganJudith Regan is the president of ReganBooks, an imprint of Harper Collins. ReganBooks is considered to be one of the most successful imprint publishing launches in decades as evidenced by several New York Times #1 bestsellers. She is also considered one of the top interviewers in television as her show, Judith Regan Tonight, has had a continuing nine-year run on the Fox network. Arnold Scott Arnold Scott is CEO of Asset Link International, a consulting firm assisting international financial institutions in the design and marketing of sophisticated investment products. Earlier, he was senior executive vice president and a director of MFS Investment Management. During his 30 plus year tenure, he assisted in managing a period of substantial growth where assets under management increased from $4 billion to more than $160 billion, and the number of employees increased from 400 to 2,800. Arnold also was a trustee of more than 80 investment companies for which MFS served as investment adviser.
